As you may or not know; besides the political news and daily local violence being reported; new in the news of been reports of former basketball player Lamar Odom was found unconscious in his hotel room in Nevada under suspicious of drug related events. I would give my point of view and what I think but I probably would angry many people so I'm going to keep my opinion to myself on this topic. But, Lamar Odom has not been doing good since he left the Lakers and ended up with the Dallas Mavericks. He didn't want to be with the Mavs and he didn't hide it. He eventually didn't finish the season with them and that pretty much was the last we seen of Odom in the league. One of the reasons Odom didn't want to leave the Lakers, not only wasn't because he was a long tenured player with them, a close friend of one of the biggest players in the world (Kobe Bryant); but the main reason is, to me, is that he didn't want to leave his girl, famous reality star Khloe Kardashian.
Since being out of the league him and Khloe relationship went downhill and they eventually break up but not legally divorced each other. Khloe has since been dating numerous celebrities from "The Game," French Montana and newly James Harden, a superstar player for the Houston Rockets. I can see where Lamar is coming from, a player on the downhill losing his wife, the woman he loves to men that are now a bigger celebrity and probably making more money than him. It can eat at his pride and I believe that played a major part in what has been going on.
Since Lamar has been hospitalized everyone has been showing him love from members of the NBA and other entertainment stars. Mainly Kobe Bryant and Khloe have been by his side since he been in the hospital. We have been hearing news from all over, saying he's getting better, some saying that he is not. All we can do that is pray because we don't really know especially in this world, where negative news is the better news.
Master P, who he described himself as Lamar's mentor is saying that this is a publicity stunt and that Khloe and Kobe is doing this for rating?! Well I know Kobe is not. Why would the biggest player in the NBA most recognizable player in the NBA, need to use Odom for ratings! Get real Master P!
Also in the news is ESPN anchor Scott Van Pelt going at media journalist for describing Lamar incorrectly as a reality star and not as what we really know him as, a former NBA star!
