Ken Griffey Jr.was officially enshined into the Baseball Hall Of Fame today. Accumulating 99.32 percent of Hall Of Fame ballot votes which is now a new record.
I fell off baseball, but when I was a baseball fanatic, Ken aka "The Kid" and Derek Jeter was my two favorite players and still are. Ken also a Pennsylvania native like myself helped make me feel cool to be a left hander in a right hand dominated world. Ken is one of the few baseball players of the new era that didn't cheat the game unlike the Barry Bonds, Sammy Sosa's and others of the baseball world.
Ken was a natural athlete with a swing as beautiful as Steph Curry and Ray Allen's shooting strokes. Ken was mostly known for playing for the Seattle Mariners and Cincinnati Reds. Ken hall of fame numbers speak for themselves; 13 time all star, ten time Gold Glove award winner in Center Field. Even though he may have never won a title, he is still go down as one of the greats of all time.
